12 recipes for a happy new year

December 29, 2012 by Giulietta

As a wish for a happy new year I prepared for you a report of this year in recipes: this 2012 brought me great changes, it was a year marked by my appearance and disappearance from the blog (but I have never abandoned you, and this should count for something, uh?) and it definitely was (and you’ll see it very soon) a very sweet year, and not just from the culinary point of view.

With these 12 recipes, one for each month of 2012, I wish a HAPPY NEW YEAR to you all!

  • JanuaryTarte tatin (that was made with pâte  brisée, but the real original one is made with puff pastry, just for your information)

  • FebruaryTiramisù for the blog’s first birthday

What a great year and a fantastic year of food! I’m sitting here looking at the pumpkin that’s going to be made into jam. It’s been sitting on the hearth for a month now, so it’s time. :) Great review of 2012!

Pumpkin is precious here at the moment (in the middle of summer in Australia) and I save it rather than preserve it. When I do get a glut in autumn I will be sure to use that wonderful recipe for jam to preserve it at its best :) Thank you for your fantastic year of blogging and here’s to 2013 being another good one :)

Thanks a lot for your wishes, and I hope you’ll have a great 2013, too! I agree with you, save pumpkin now :) … but I hope you’ll try my jam, and I sincerely hope you’ll like it!

Best wishes for a great new year,
      Giulia
